Viola Davis won the Emmy Award for Best Actress in a Drama Series. She’s the first Black women to win in over 67 years. Her speech was chilling in its Black Love. She was bold, unapologetic, and loving — traits that are hard to come by in the white cookie cutter paradigm that is Hollywood. Kerry Washington shed some tears. Tara P. Henson showed love passionately. Quoting Harriet Tubman, Viola Davis shined bright in the light of ancestry.
Required watching for the human race.
